Alice Ricks leads a variety of strategic and operational initiatives for the HealthySteps National Office at ZERO TO THREE. She facilitates strategic planning efforts, manages and participates in partnerships with key external stakeholders, and oversees National Office operations, including coordination across ZERO TO THREE.
Ms. Ricks brings more than a decade of experience in non-profit management and early childhood/pediatric systems building. Before joining ZERO TO THREE in 2016, Ms. Ricks served as Executive Director of United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County, where she led a communitywide early childhood initiative to promote healthy early childhood development and school readiness for all incoming kindergartners. She has also worked to support and sustain critical student health services on school campuses in California. Previously, she taught kindergarten and first grade in Atlanta and Chicago public school districts, respectively. Ms. Ricks earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Yale University, a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, and Masters of Public Health and Public Policy degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.
