Christina Nigrelli is an Early Childhood Thought Leader with more than 30 years of experience. As Senior Director of Programs, Ms. Nigrelli is responsible for programmatic, financial, and administrative oversight of the ZERO TO THREE California Initiative. She spearheads the customization of national programs for the State of California – impacting learning systems and supporting parents and training leaders. Prior to joining ZERO TO THREE, Ms. Nigrelli worked in Higher Education as Early Childhood Education Faculty at California State University, Long Beach and Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA. As faculty of higher education, she worked collaboratively with early childhood programs providing professional development training as well as mentoring and coaching of early childhood professionals. Ms. Nigrelli began her career as an Infant and Toddler Specialist for a privately funded child care program. She also has extensive experience in local and statewide early childhood workforce development. Ms. Nigrelli is most proud of her long career of commitment to and continuous support for the health and well being of all children and families. Ms. Nigrelli has an M.A. in Early Childhood Education and B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach; and an Ed. S. in Early Childhood Education from Walden University.
