Michelle Meyercord is currently VP of Programs for Dalio Philanthropies focused on programs and grants across education, health and health justice, financial inclusion, and oceans and the environment.
Michelle Meyercord is a trusted advisor and loyal partner to CEOs and business owners, and leads efforts to reposition companies to address changing markets, develop new partnerships, and enter new businesses, both domestically and internationally.
Most recently, Mrs. Meyercord served as the Senior Advisor to Smart Cities New York as the head of strategy and development. Smart Cities New York is an annual conference and expo that brings together mayors, CEOs, thought leaders and investors from around the world to address the challenges and opportunities facing cities to be more resilient, inclusive, cleaner and smarter.
Prior to Smart Cities, Ms. Meyercord served on the executive committee of Christie’s as the head of strategy and international development, leading the execution of a strategic plan to address the changing art market. She also set a strategy for growth in new markets and helped launch an art and auction business in China.
Previously, Ms. Meyercord served on the executive committee of Rodale Inc., a family-owned health and wellness media company with international operations that included magazines, books, digital brands and businesses. She also worked at Primedia Inc., serving on the international business development team where she expanded the Primedia media properties in Asia. Prior to Primedia, Ms. Meyercord was the marketing and development director at About.com.
Ms. Meyercord began her career by working in the White House as the chief of staff to Rahm Emanuel, Senior Advisor to President Clinton. She supported the Senior Advisor in his management of the Administration’s strategic goals through short and long-term agendas and communications.
Ms. Meyercord received her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 1995.
