Governance and Leadership
Coordinated governance structures or planning bodies can help states develop and implement a vision for a high quality early childhood system from prenatal to third grade.
Collaborative structures are strongest when they involve diverse representation from stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. When building this infrastructure, state leaders have an opportunity to include specific infant-toddler priorities that are closely linked to the state’s broader goals to improve outcomes for young children.
